The MNKY Boot by FACT. is a modern reinterpretation of the iconic monkey boot, a utilitarian design first crafted in 1930s Czechoslovakia and later adopted by Mods, Skinheads, Punks, and Goths across underground scenes from the 1960s through the 1980s. Originally military surplus footwear, the monkey boot became a lasting symbol of rebellion and counterculture.

MNKY honors that lineage through restraint and material honesty. Constructed with 1.6mm corrected/smooth Italian leather uppers, a rugged tractor outsole, and durable stitched sole construction, it’s designed for daily wear and long-term use. Finished with a leather insole for comfort and longevity, MNKY is meant to age naturally, not stay pristine.

MNKY and CNTRL are built with the same commitment to durability and long-term wear. MNKY follows traditional boot mechanics with a tractor sole, while CNTRL is skate-influenced, using a cup sole for flexibility, board feel, and control.
